It’s been a solid season for the Lady Bulldogs on the basketball court with an overall record of 18-11 and 9-7.
That said, Georgia’s best chance of earning an berth in the NCAA tournament will be to make a run and likely win the SEC tourney, which begins Thursday in Greenville, SC.
The Lady Dawgs, seeded seventh, play tenth seed Arkansas in the first round on Thursday at 6 pm. The result of a lower seed for Georgia, however, means that a win on Thursday sets up matchup with second seed South Carolina.
If Georgia pulls the upset, it’ll be on to the semifinals against likely opponents Auburn or Texas A&M.
