Though Retired, Steve Spurrier Takes Another Shot At Georgia

Throughout his career, nothing brought more joy to former Florida and South Carolina head coach Steve Spurrier than beating Georgia, and he lets everybody know it, even 3 years removed from the game.

In his 23 games against Georgia, Spurrier went 16-7 against the Dawgs, including 11-1 while at Florida. But Georgia got the last laugh in 2015, whooping the Gamecocks 52-20 in Spurrier’s final season.

While talking with The State’s Matt Connoly regarding trash talking and how it may make the opponent play with a chip on their shoulder, Spurrier delivered another shot at Georgia.

“If talking mattered Georgia would’ve beaten us a lot more,” said Spurrier.
