While Mark Fox's Hoop Hounds are preparing for an opening round NIT aka chip with Belmont, Joni Taylor's Lady Bulldogs are waiting to learn where they might be headed in the NCAA tournament. The 'Dawgs fell 54-49 in overtime to Vanderbilt to complete SEC tournament play, and a 21-9 season that included both some positive signs and some growing pains. After ripping through the no conference slate the Lady Dawgs struggled to a 9-8 record in conference play. But when you consider that the SEC slate included more ranked teams than U ranked, and that Taylor's squad held their own, picking up a couple of top 20 upsets, it should be enough to get them in the tournament.
