Georgia running back Sony Michel joined Frank Frangie and Hays Carlyon of 1010XL Jax Sports Radio at SEC Media Days on Tuesday. Michel discussed a number of topics, including his decision to return for his senior season alongside fellow senior running back Nick Chubb.
“I think we both had our decisions kind of made up and he kind of just told me before I told him,” Michel said. “It’s just one of those things where it’s like ‘dang, it’s crazy.’ We’re both coming back and it was exciting at the same time.”

Michel also said that despite being tempted to declare for the NFL Draft as a junior, he feels he ultimately made the right choice in staying at Georgia for his senior season.
