ATHENS, Ga. — New Georgia coach Kirby Smart has met with his team and delivered a message that the players — and certainly Bulldogs fans — didn’t want to hear: You’re not as good as my former team because you don’t sweat the details.
That could be construed as a harsh message. It also could be considered sad but true.
The proof is in the results. Georgia tight end Jeb Blazevich pointed out that the teams recruit the same players. But Alabama has won at least 12 games five seasons in a row and at least 10 in eight consecutive seasons.
