Sophomore Rico McGraw, who started five games last season for Georgia in the secondary, has been dealing with a shoulder injury but that wasn’t the main reason he didn’t play in the season opener, according to coach Kirby Smart.
“It had been bothering him before then, but that didn’t have a whole lot to do with it,” Smart said Tuesday. “But it has been bothering him.”
The issue, Smart said, is a shoulder subluxation.
“His shoulder has been going in and out on him, which is very frustrating, especially for a person who has to use his shoulders and DBs have to use their arms,” Smart said.
