HOOVER, Ala. – Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin says he has exchanged texts with troubled NFL quarterback Johnny Manziel over the last two weeks but doesn’t want to say more about it.
“I exchanged text messages with Johnny Manziel over the last two weeks,” Sumlins aid Tuesday at SEC Media Days. “That’s the extent of it. Look, here’s the bottom line: He’s an Aggie and he’s always going to be an Aggie. At Texas A&M, we take care of each other.”
Sumlin was asked if there was more he or the school could have done when Manziel was at A&M.
