This was a frantic weekend of recruiting prior to the start of the recruiting dead period beginning on Monday. From several decommitments to a few important commitments, there was news all over the SEC. Here’s a closer look at what transpired over the weekend in the SEC.
Wild weekend for Georgia: The Bulldogs certainly had an up-and-down weekend. First, Georgia lost a commitment from three-star defensive back Malek Young on Friday.
The Bulldogs then hosted the No. 2-ranked pocket-passer in the country, Jacob Eason, on an official visit. Eason has been committed to Georgia for over a year, but the four-star prospect began looking at Florida when Mark Richt was let go.
