Roquan Smith has been a busy man lately.
On Monday night, he will be in Charlotte, North Carolina to find out if he will win the Bronko Nagurski Award, which goes out to the nation's top defensive player. Smith will be in Atlanta Thursday when the Chuck Bednarik Award is revealed at the Home Depot College Football Awards Show.
All of this comes as students at UGA are wrapping up finals, and shortly after Georgia's SEC Championship win over Auburn. Therefore, during Georgia's annual gala Sunday evening, the program had a surprise for Smith.
Longtime broadcaster and UGA sideline reporter Chuck Dowdle introduced NFL Hall of Famer Dick Butkus on a large video board to present Smith with the 33rd annual Butkus Award.
