The Georgia men’s basketball team is stuck in Anderson, South Carolina for the night after a runway blunder grounded the team plane, Dawgnation has reported.
Tom Crean’s first road trip with the Dawgs got off to a bumpy start, having to drive to Anderson, in order to fly to Philadelphia for the Temple game Tuesday.
Once in South Carolina, the team plane struggled to gain traction on an already slick runway, skidding off the tarmac into a field of mud, a UGA spokesperson confirmed to Chip Towers of Dawgnation.
For safety measure, mechanics had to work on the plane for several hours, leaving Georgia stranded.
