According to a report from Patrick Brown of Vols247 and Radi Nabulsi of UGA Rivals, Georgia offensive coordinator Jim Chaney is leaving Athens for Tennessee.
The 56-year-old Central Missouri State graduate served as the offensive coordinator for the Volunteers previously from 2009-2012.
He became interim head coach for one game after Derek Dooley’s firing, going 1-0 at the helm. In the last few weeks, there was speculation that Chaney might leave with his contract expiring but a report yesterday by DawgNation’s Mike Griffith said that the offensive coordinator was under contract for two more seasons.
