Georgia defensive tackle Trenton Thompson, who withdrew from school this semester, could be back in classes by May.
Georgia said Thompson, who was the nation’s consensus No. 1 prospect in the 2015 recruiting class, had “medical issues” when it announced last month that he had withdrawn from classes. His uncle told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that he believes Thompson could return this summer; Thompson might even be able to re-enroll at Georgia in time for what is called the “May-mester” of school.
The AJC reported that Thompson is home in Albany, Ga., and has been keeping a low profile during his time away from school.
