In a statement Wednesday afternoon, The University of Georgia announced that there will be no replacement game for Saturday, Dec 19., marking the end of Georgia’s season at nine games with a record of 7-2.
The Bulldogs were supposed to play Vanderbilt in a postponed matchup that was originally scheduled for Dec. 5, but because of positive COVID-19 testing within the Commodores program, the game was moved to Saturday until once again, more COVID-19 testing caused Vanderbilt to cancel as they were under the roster minimum requirements.
Georgia then began searching for another opponent and on Tuesday, coach Kirby Smart told reporters that the search was still on.
