Per a report from Dawgs247, redshirt junior punter Marshall Long is expected to call it a career and retire from the game of football.
With Long reportedly expected to take a medical disqualification, Georgia will be down to just two scholarship specialists on its roster: kicker Rodrigo Blankenship and punter Jake Camarda.
Long will likely eligible to qualify for a medical hardship exemption, meaning he would be allowed to remain on scholarship, however, it would not count towards Georgia’s total. The NCAA total allows 85 players on scholarship, and after signing day Georgia is sitting at 84, according to Chip Towers of Dawgnation.
