Georgia freshman punter Marshall Long reportedly will miss the rest of the 2016 season with a dislocated knee cap. Dawgs247.com reported the news, saying Long suffered the injury during practice.
Georgia has yet to release any official statement.
Long’s injury means backup quarterback Brice Ramsey likely take over the punter’s role. Ramsey has punted 23 times during his career and has averaged 41 yards on his kicks.
Long was averaging 38.7 yards on his 49 punts and had landed 14 of them inside the opponents’ 20.
