Just when it seemed like everything was going perfectly in Athens, Georgia middle linebacker Natrez Patrick reportedly is facing a legal issue.
The Bulldogs’ starter at inside linebacker was arrested late Thursday on marijuana charges in Athens, the Macon Telegraph reported.
Patrick was charged with possession of less than one ounce of marijuana as well as a parking violation, and was released early Friday on a reported bond of $1,500.
For the fifth-ranked Bulldogs, it’s unwelcome news after a terrific start to the season.
Although coach Kirby Smart has yet to publicly announce disciplinary action against Patrick, the linebacker is facing consequences since this is his second offense at Georgia.
