Georgia redshirt freshman defensive end Chauncey Manac — a former four-star recruit — has decided to transfer, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Tuesday.
Manac, who was a national top-125 prospect as an outside linebacker in the 2016 recruiting cycle from Homerville (Ga.) Clinch County, reportedly will enroll at Garden City (Kan.) Community College in Kansas.
Manac likely would’ve opened the season no higher than third team on the depth chart.
Coach Kirby Smart is set to address the media after Tuesday’s practice and likely will be asked about Manac.
