According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Media, Georgia great Malcolm Mitchell has been put on the trading block. The New England Patriots are “seeking a potential trade partner” for a deal involving Mitchell, a 2016 4th-round pick, who missed all of last season with a knee injury. While Mitchell certainly is a valuable asset for the Patriots, who lost star receiver Julian Edelman to suspension, the Valdosta native unfortunately has been labeled as an injury prone player.
Mitchell sustained injuries several times throughout his career with the Bulldogs and Patriots, including a torn ACL in 2013 and a dislocated elbow in 2016.
