Recruiting Wrap-Up: First Day Of Early Signing Period Results In Huge Success For Georgia

After the first day of the Early Signing Period, the Georgia Bulldogs showed they have sustaining power.

After corralling the No. 1 class in 2018, the Bulldogs came back with the No. 2-ranked class during this initial signing period. The Dawgs signed an impressive five 5-star recruits and filled some obvious needs on both sides of the ball.

In addition to signing the top ranked prep seniors in four different states, Georgia landed the nation’s No. 1 and No. 6 JUCOs.

After reports of Justin Fields, last year’s No. 1 recruit, intentions to explore transfer opportunities, Kirby Smart reached into his bag of tricks and unexpectedly flipped four-star quarterback Dwan Mathis from Ohio State.
