Offensive lineman Josh Cardiello to transfer to UT Chattanooga

Josh Cardiello, a redshirt sophomore from Buford, announced on Friday that he would be taking his talents to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Cardiello played in only game last season after redshirting the year before.

“I want to thank Coach Richt for everything that he’s done for me,” Cardiello said. “I feel that this is the best situation for me to excel in all aspects of athletics and academics. I wish nothing but the best to everyone at UGA and hope they have a great season.”

Cardiello played and practiced at guard while at Georgia. The starting five offensive lineman looks to be some combination of John Theus, Kolton Houston, Greg Pyke, Isaiah Wynn and Brandon Kublanow.
