Seymour, an incoming freshman offensive lineman, will not be playing for Georgia after deciding that he no longer wants to play football.
“I met with DeVondre and he feels strongly that football is not what he wants to do,” Georgia head coach Mark Richt said. “We do wish him well in whatever career he chooses to pursue.”
Seymour originally signed to play with the Bulldogs in 2013 but spent the last two seasons at Hinds Community College in Mississippi. Seymour is a graduate of North Gwinnett High School.
Seymour’s departure leaves the Bulldogs with only three incoming offensive linemen: Sage Hardin, Pat Allen and Sam Madden.
