ATHENS, Ga. – Georgia senior running backs Nick Chubb and Sony Michel had a grand Sanford Stadium send-off Saturday, combining for 238 rushing yards and five touchdowns in the Bulldogs’ 42-13 rout of Kentucky.
Chubb’s final carry at Sanford Stadium was a 55-yard TD run. Michel’s was a 44-yard scoring jaunt.
Chubb rushed for 151 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries; Michel had 87 yards and three scores on 12 carries.
The two arrived together in the 2014 recruiting class, and they are leaving together after this season.
“That’s my guy,” Chubb said. “The one thing about Georgia – there’s a lot of great people and a lot of great friends.
