New England Patriots re-signed tight end Benjamin Watson shortly after they cut him following a four week long suspension. Watson, a former Georgia Bulldog, was suspended after failing a drug test. Watson contemplated retirement after losing in the 2018 NFC Championship Game to the Los Angeles Rams.
The Patriots are expected to re-sign veteran TE Benjamin Watson, per source. He was released last week, but should be back in the fold to help a position that could use the depth.
The ex-New Orleans Saint is expected to play an important role in the offense for the 6-0 Patriots.
