While I am not particularly fond of the drama surrounding players as we near National Signing Day, it is interesting to see what kind of impact, if any, results from bringing in new assistant coaches late in the process.
Sometimes a good X’s and O’s assistant leaves (or is asked to leave), and the new guy brings in enough new recruiting energy to get a school over the top on a handful of guys. And sometimes a top recruiter changes addresses but can’t rebuild the relationships in time to get the prospect’s signature on the dotted line.
