Freshman Erik Grevelius and graduate transfer Billy Rowe each recorded a combined 2-0 record in doubles and singles to highlight day one of the SEC Shootout for the University of Georgia men’s tennis team Friday afternoon.
“We fought hard everywhere and put ourselves in positions to win the first set in the top three [singles] spots,” Georgia head coach Manuel Diaz said. “We must do better there. Great job by Billy [Rowe] and Erik [Grevelius] going 2-0 for the day. Baptiste [Anselmo] and Blake [Croyder] played good matches today and just came up a little short in the third set.
