The No. 11 Georgia Bulldogs men’s tennis team defeated the East Tennessee State Buccaneers by a 4-0 score on Saturday afternoon at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex in the first round of the NCAA men’s tennis championship.
“It is certainly great to get a 4-0 win,” said Georgia head coach Manuel Diaz. “I think it’s easy to be satisfied, but I know that we can play a little bit better.
Trent Bryde and Tyler Zink, the seventh-ranked doubles pairing in the country, won their set on court 1, 6-1. Phillip Henning and Erik Grevelius also took care of business on court 3, winning the set 6-4 to secure the doubles point for Georgia.
