As a University of Georgia bus made a stop outside the Tate Student Center Friday afternoon, referee’s whistles could be heard from the bridge that runs by the west side of Sanford Stadium.
The Bulldogs first preseason scrimmage, the next stop in the heated battle to be the starting quarterback, was underway, but it was not open to the public and the media.
Across the street from a sidewalk sign promoting a back to school poster sale, two other signs were attached to a metal barrier on the stadium side: “THIS IS A CLOSED PRACTICE PLEASE KEEP MOVING” and “NO SOCIAL MEDIA ALLOWED.
