ATHENS, Ga. (AP) Charles Mann made 8 of 8 free throws and finished with 13 points to lead Georgia past High Point 49-46 Wednesday night.
Georgia (2-1) made only three field goals in the second half, but High Point (3-2) struggled offensively too.
Mann's last two free throws capped the scoring with 11.1 seconds left. High Point's Anthony Lindauer missed two potential tying 3-pointers in the closing seconds.
Kenny Gaines scored 12 points for Georgia, and J.J. Frazier added 10.
Lorenzo Cugini scored 14 points, Adam Weary had 13 and John Brown added 11 for the Panthers.
