The Georgia men’s basketball team suffered a heartbreaking loss to Mississippi State on Wednesday after erasing a 17-point second half deficit.
However, the ending of the game was highly criticized by Bulldog fans far and wide for three separate reasons. To start off, Georgia guard Jordan Harris was called for a questionable foul with 0.5 seconds remaining and the game tied at 67.
State’s Quinndary Weatherspoon missed the first free throw, setting up a crucial last attempt, or so we thought. Instead, the referees found that a Georgia student had thrown a ‘stuffed dog’ onto the court during Weatherspoon’s first attempt.
