Bears star outside linebacker Leonard Floyd was awfully thrilled to hear the news that his team selected a fellow Georgia Bulldog in Roquan Smith at No. 8 on Thursday night.
Floyd reacted to the news that his Georgia teammate Roquan Smith would join him on the Chicago Bears, sounding thrilled to be able to play alongside Smith again.
The 2 Bulldogs sure do emphasize the ‘Monsters of the Midway’ nickname.
“Georgia boy lets go,” tweeted Floyd, referring not only to the fact that two both call the University of Georgia their alma mater. Additionally, Floyd and Smith both grew up roughly an hour away from each other; Floyd in Eastman, Georgia and Smith in Montezuma, Georgia.
