Ahkil Crumpton only committed to Georgia nine days ago but now he’s set to officially join the Bulldogs.
Crumpton confirmed Thursday to Dawgs247 that he will enroll at the school Sunday. He then appeared to confirm the news through several retweets on his Twitter account.
Crumpton, an unranked JUCO wide receiver, committed to Georgia on July 18. He indicated at the time that he would enroll this Sunday.
It remains unclear, though, if Crumpton will be on scholarship because of the NCAA-mandated 85 per school. If four-star defensive linemen Robert Beal and Devonte Wyatt – both of whom signed with Georgia in February – qualify academically, then the Bulldogs would appear to be over the limit with 86 players on scholarship.
