After last year’s postseason berth, this was a critical year for Joni Crenshaw’s Lady Bulldogs. It’s one thing to have a solid year. It’s another, however, to show that one season was not an aberration.
If Sunday afternoon showed one thing, it was that this program is settling in as a contender in the top rung of the SEC as Georgia rallied from a 12-point halftime deficit to top Tennessee, 66-62.
To say that the Lady Hoop Hounds came out firing in the second half is and understatement. 25 points in the frame along moved Georgia to the lead, an advantage that it never gave up.
