ATHENS, Ga.— Sophomore quarterback Jacob Eason is not going to play at Notre Dame because of his sprained left knee. That doesn’t mean he won’t be with the team this weekend in South Bend.
Kirby Smart brought up the possibility of Eason making the trip this weekend after the Bulldogs finished practice on Tuesday. He says that he has also been around to help freshman Jake Fromm get ready for his first start.
“He’s been involved in meetings and everything,” Smart said. “I hope he’s throwing soon. I hope he’s on the trip. I wish he could play.
