ATHENS, Ga. – Kirby Smart never went up against Les Miles as a head coach, but he knew enough about him nonetheless.
So in the wake of LSU’s decision to fire Miles after 11-plus seasons Sunday, Smart talked about the now former SEC coach during his Monday press conference.
“Les is a great man, good person,” Smart said. “I respect Les and the job he’s done in this profession. I think he’s a very great kind of ambassador for our league. I hate what’s happened. But I’ll say this: Les has been nothing but good to me and he’s a great person.
