After going 2/2 on field goals against South Carolina, Georgia kicker Rodrigo Blankenship was named the SEC Special Teams Player of the Week.
He hit from 44 and 45 yards, including a clutch field goal right before the half to regain momentum. In addition, Hot Rod was 5/5 on extra points and bombed each of his 7 kickoffs in the end zone for a touchback.
Georgia is certainly lucky to have a weapon like the Blankenship on the team, whose career long was a much needed 55 yarder against Oklahoma in the Rose Bowl.
And Kirby Smart knows just how lucky he is to have Blankenship as well.
