ATHENS, Ga. – Georgia coach Kirby Smart said Tuesday after practice that the school is “gathering information” about the felony arrests of true freshmen Julian Rochester and Chad Clay, who were charged after a reported incident with a BB gun.
“I’m extremely disappointed in Julian and Chad both,” Smart said. “We expect our student-athletes to comply with the policies of our university and our football program.
“At this time, we’re still gathering information. They will be disciplined in an appropriate manner. Any other decisions will be made at the appropriate time.”
Smart also said he would withhold further comment while he continues to gather facts.
