Another chapter seems to be writing itself for Georgia linebacker Natrez Patrick’s career in Athens. The troubled alum of Mays High in Atlanta remains with the team after a rough end to 2017. Patrick attended classes at the University last spring and hopes to re-earn key playing time this fall.
Patrick entered a treatment facility in Augusta in mid-December of 2017 as part of an deal made with Athens-Clarke County as a result of a probation violation for a marijuana arrest earlier that year.
When speaking to the press on Friday about Patrick, head coach Kirby Smart said:
“He’s done everything we’ve asked him to do.
