Georgia coach Kirby Smart wouldn’t discussion possible suspensions for Bulldogs players when he addressed the media Tuesday at the SEC spring meetings.
Sophomore defensive end Jonathan Ledbetter recently had his underage drinking charges dismissed. He had been suspended for violating the school’s drug and alcohol policy, but does the dropping of the charges mean he still will be suspended for the opener?
“We’ll find out about the first game,” Smart said.
Ledbetter also was punished internally by Smart, though there has been no word on that punishment.
As for true freshmen Julian Rochester, a defensive tackle, and Chad Clay, a defensive back, there’s no word on any possible suspension.
