Although Georgia looks to be pretty loaded at virtually every position coming into the 2019 season, coach Kirby Smart still sees a few potential issues with his receiving core.
“We don’t have numbers,” Smart recently told a group of reporters. “It’s the thinnest position, right there with D-Line and tight end; it’s been said over and over and over.”
It would make sense that the receiver position would not be very deep this season. UGA lost arguably its three best receivers in Mecole Hardman, Riley Ridley, and Terry Godwin to the NFL Draft, and now will rely on younger players like JJ Holloman and Demetris Robertson to carry the load.
