Georgia, using a powerful rushing attack and suffocating defense in a 34-17 win over Kentucky in Lexington, clinched the SEC East for the second consecutive year.
Behind an offensive line that was missing its starting center and guard, and at times was manned by three freshmen, Georgia rushed for 331 rushing yards on 50 carries. The Dawgs were led by Sophomore D’Andre Swift (156 yards, 2 TDs) and junior Elijah Holyfield (115 yards, 1 TD).
