ATHENS, Ga. — It is no secret Georgia is looking for an improved passing offense this season, and sophomore tight end Isaac Nauta likely will be vital in accomplishing that goal.
Nauta, a former five-star recruit, showed flashes of big-play ability in 2016, when he had 29 catches for 361 yards and three touchdowns. Perhaps his most memorable play was a 50-yard catch-and-run touchdown against Tennessee.
Nauta played in all 13 games, starting five, and coach Kirby Smart said Tuesday that he likes the more complete player that Nauta is becoming.
