Freshman defensive end Chauncey Rivers was arrested last night for the second time in a little over a month for possession of marijuana, less than an ounce. Now we've discussed at length in this forum the relative merits of the state of Georgia's drug laws. This isn't a call to rehash that debate. Suffice it to say that of all the trouble a college kid can get into in Athens on a Friday night, that's at the low end of the scale.
But it is against the law. And against University policy, which mandates a four game suspension for a second drug-related offense or positive drug test.
