Kirby Smart facing first adversity on recruiting trail since arriving at Georgia

Ever since Kirby Smart arrived on campus as the head coach of Georgia, the Bulldogs have experienced no adversity at all on the recruiting trail.

In 2017, which was Smart’s first year recruiting for UGA, the Bulldogs finished with a top-five class nationally that included 20 prospects ranked as either a four, or five-star recruits.

In 2018, Georgia’s momentum on the recruiting trail actually increased as Smart put together what many believe was the best recruiting class in the country. The group included 26 prospects which some experts continue to consider to be among the best of all-time – not just at Georgia.
