Unfortunately, knee injuries are a serious risk of playing the running back position, and at Georgia it seems that bug just bites a bit harder than other schools.
Thankfully, the Bulldogs are always so loaded with talent at running back that they can overcome a knee injury to one of the star guys. When Todd Gurley went down in 2014, Nick Chubb and Sony Michel carried the load. When Chubb went down in 2015, it was Michel who stepped in to lead the way. And when Zamir White suffered his second ACL tear before ever getting to play a snap at Georgia, the Dawgs leaned on D’Andre Swift and Elijah Holyfield to tote the rock.
