ATHENS, Ga. – Georgia coach Kirby Smart is looking for players to emerge at numerous positions during fall camp, including kick returner. Smart says he is looking for someone who is “explosive” and can “protect the ball.”
Junior wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie might be that guy. He has returned four punts and one kickoff for a touchdown while at Georgia, and no one questions his explosiveness. But McKenzie (5 feet 8, 170 pounds) also has put the football on the ground, including on a jet sweep in an OT win over Georgia Southern in 2015.
