No. 5 Georgia (8-1, 6-1) and Auburn (6-3, 3-3) will play in the 123rd edition of the Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry on Saturday in Athens at 7 p.m.
For Georgia to keep Playoff hopes alive, the Dawgs need to take care of business against a talented Auburn group that returned a lot of talent from its impressive 2017 team.
And Georgia became very familiar with that 2017 team. Auburn and Georgia met twice last season, once in a mid-November matchup on the Plains, and then again three weeks later in the SEC Championship. Auburn may have one the first meeting, but the Dawgs got the one that counted, leaving a sour taste in the Tigers’ mouths.
