The Kansas City Chiefs traded up in the second round of the NFL Draft to select former Georgia wide receiver Mecole Hardman with the 56th pick.
However, according to reports from the New York Daily News’ and YahooSports, the Chiefs had to fend off the Jets in order to secure Hardman’s talents.
Kansas City sent the Rams the No. 61 and No. 167 pick to get Hardman, a speedster who may possibly be viewed as a replacement for Tyreek Hill, whose days in KC look to be numbered.
The Jets, on the other hand, attempted to land the 57th pick from the Eagles, however, the Chiefs had already made their move to No.
