ATHENS, Ga. – It was Jacob Eason’s turn to work with the starters during Georgia’s practice Wednesday. The true freshman was the first to work in with receivers in throwing drills and went to work with the first team offense as reporters left the field.
Senior Greyson Lambert worked first in individual “play polish” drills, which is when the quarterback hands off to the running backs out of a shotgun formation.
Lambert appeared to receive the first team reps Tuesday. However, Eason also was able to work in with the first unit.
Georgia coach Kirby Smart said Monday and Tuesday that the practice week would determine who earned the start against Missouri.
