Isner Barking Loud At Wimbledon

John Isner’s name is already etched within the annals of Wimbledon.

His epic victory eight years ago at the All England Club is even commemorated there with a plaque, lasted 11 hours and five minutes long, a record for the longest tennis match ever played.

This year, he is looking to make a name for himself in another way, adding to a banner year for current and former Bulldogs.

Monday’s 6-4, 6-4-7-6 win against Stefanos Tsitsipas advanced Isner to his first Wimbledon quarterfinal of his career and first Grand Slam Round of Eight since 2011. Isner, seeded ninth, will face Milos Raonick, seeded 13th on Wednesday at 7 am EDT.
