Reports emerged this afternoon that UGA starting right tackle Isaiah Wilson was injured in practice today. The latest according to reports from Dawgs247 appears to be that it is a sprain of some sort and that Wilson may miss 4 to 5 weeks.
That sounds a lot like a high ankle sprain, even if we haven’t received (and may never receive) official word. It’s also a tough injury for a guy who goes 340 pounds plus or minus a biscuit. That’s a lot of weight to put on a gimpy ankle, and anyone who’s ever suffered a severe ankle sprain knows that the pain and stiffness can linger for a while.
